Until reading a BLOG by The Communicatrix, otherwise known as Colleen Wainwright., it had not occurred to me that my Santa stories were actually a monologue. Of course some Santas are members of the Actor's Guild; others have extensive appearances as Premier Santas. Perhaps they are accustomed to written-out, reheased, and polished presentations; however, most of us probably are used to 'shooting from the hip' in talking with clients.

A really good example of a polished monologue for us is Santa Tim Connaghan's videos posted on AORBSANTA.NING.COM site, where he answers commonly asked questions. His answers are credible, crisp, and compelling. And so I hope to develop to that level of competence in delivery with my answers to commonly asked questions, as well as the stories Santa pulls out with clients.
